Papal Adviser Father Antonio Spadaro Accused of ‘Heretical Blasphemy’

Image
We gained some further insight into the deep problems within Pope Francis' Pontificate this morning as one of his closest advisors, Antonio "2+2=5" Spadaro is being called out for claiming that Jesus was healed and freed “from the rigidity of the theological, political and cultural elements dominant in his time.” Above: A real Tweet from Spadaro in 2017 The deeply problematic Spadaro has been a part of the Francis Pontificate from the start and it was clear as early as 2017 that he was deeply ideologically compromised when he co-authored an article on religious politics which, with the benefit of hindsight, gave us some pretty big clues about the direction this Pontificate would take in respect of America. I get it that the Pope doesn’t like Americans, but dismissing criticisms as being from backwardist reactionaries, looks like someone putting his fingers in his ears employing ad hominems instead of addressing the issues. — Catholic Sat (@CatholicSat) August 28, 2023...

Pope tells Jesuits inclusivity, doctrinal evolution, synodality are crucial to Church

Image
The Jesuit publication " La Civiltà Cattolica " has published a transcript of the dialogue between Pope Francis and the Jesuits of Portugal during the Pontiff's visit to Lisbon for WYD 2023. These meetings the Pope has with the failing dying and declining Jesuit order are always revealing and Pope Francis often gives us a clearer insight into the workings of his mind. Vatican News reports : "Throughout World Youth Day in Lisbon, the rallying cry for an all-embracing Church resonated powerfully with the words "Todos, todos" (Everyone, everyone), pronounced by Pope Francis as he stressed that the Church "has space for everyone". He emphasized the pivotal importance of creating a space for all individuals, irrespective of their sexual orientation or gender identity, within the Church. This message continued to echo through his exchange with the Jesuits of Portugal." "The Pope reiterated his call to embrace homosexual people within the Churc...

The Good Shepherd - Strickland's Latest Letter

Image
Bishop Strickland is a true shepherd after the Heart of Jesus Christ. He is definitely under attack so please pray for him! He has issued a new pastoral letter -- one of the best I've ever seen! It is full of zeal for the Catholic Faith and genuine charity for his flock. Here's a particularly important passage: In the weeks and months ahead, many of these truths will be examined as part of the Synod on Synodality. We must hold fast to these truths and be wary of any attempts to present an alternative to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, or to push for a faith that speaks of dialogue and brotherhood, while attempting to remove the fatherhood of God. When we seek to innovate upon what God in His great mercy has given us, we find ourselves upon treacherous ground. The surest footing we can find is to remain firmly upon the perennial teachings of the faith. Regrettably, it may be that some will label as schismatics those who disagree with the changes being proposed. Be assured, however...

Lucy Letby: Have we built a culture of death?

Image
In her latest article in the Catholic Herald , Katherine Bennett pertinently shines a light on the hypocrisy of a culture that rages about the murders of Lucy Letby, a nurse on a children's ward in Chester who attacked at least thirteen infants in her care between June 2015 and June 2016, killing seven of them, while celebrating the murder of unborn children in the same hospital. It is an excellent piece: How did a nurse commit such unthinkable murders? Are they really so unthinkable in a world that considers the killing of a baby with Down’s syndrome a “right”, that calls for abortion on demand up to birth? Are we so blind that we cannot see the lies, the ugliness and the evil that lurks beneath what bubbles up to the surface? How deeply corrupted is a conscience that celebrates both the abolition of the death penalty and the introduction of euthanasia for prisoners, the emancipation of women and the right to self ID, the safeguarding of children and grooming in schools? We are c...

Wild Boar on Plage Gigaro

Image
I'm just back from my holidays. I spent the first week in Lourdes - you can read about it in my latest article for the Catholic Herald: CLICK HERE From there we drove down to the South of France and met up with Katherine from Catholic Unscripted and her family. We were surprised, one evening to find wild boar roaming down the street by a restaurant we visited. I was looking at a beach we went to on Facebook and found this video of a family of wild boar on the beach!
