More on Francis' New Crop of Cardinals
In this video, Eric Sammons explains that by selecting Bishop McElroy for the Cardinalate, Pope Francis expresses his hatred for American Catholics. He deduces this from Pope Francis' selection of the most extreme, leftist and controversial bishops for the Cardinalate.
We see another example of this today when Pope Francis, almost unbelievably, named Cardinal Blase Cupich as a member of the Vatican’s Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments. On hearing the news, a friend of mine who is a priest under Cupich told me:
"Cupich in addition to profaning the Blessed Sacrament by distributing Our most precious Lord to non-Catholics has the liturgical sense of a gnat. Why have such a congregation if it is manned by desecrators?"In a November 2021 essay, Cupich said that Traditionis custodes (TC) offered an “opportunity to help all of our people come to a fuller understanding of the great gift that the [Second Vatican] Council has given us in reforming the way we worship.”
“I take seriously my obligation to move forward in a way that promotes a return to a unitary celebratory form in accord with the directives of TC, but in the meantime, we all need to pray, as Jesus did the night before he died, that all may be one,” he wrote.
In December 2021, the 73-year-old cardinal issued a new policy for the Archdiocese of Chicago that curtailed the celebration of the Traditional Latin Mass and other sacraments in Latin using liturgical books that predate Vatican II.
Under the policy, which took effect on Jan. 25, 2022, priests, deacons, and ordained ministers who wish to use the Old Rite must submit their requests to the cardinal in writing and agree to abide by the new norms.
In Sammon's analysis (below) he also points out that Francis has passed over a lot of US bishops, it appears, simply because they were Pope Benedict XVI's appointments.
Further, every single choice for the Cardinalate Pope Francis has chosen from America are directly connected to disgraced ex-cardinal McCarrick.
Most of these bad men had been appointed bishops and archbishops under Popes John Paul II and Benedict.
