A prayerful insight into building the Kingdom

While praying this morning, I had an insight into why it is important to be authentic & clear in our Christian faith - & it might sound completely obvious to you, but it was somewhat of a revelation to me in a really personal way. In some ways, this insight has been driven by a number of separate encounters I've had over the last day or so. These are the "elements" of my insight if you like: The first is the ongoing Vatican debacle and the confusion and pain I see everywhere caused by Pope Francis. The Keys have always been a completely unproblematic part of my faith up until this point when it seems Peter has abandoned Jesus and is not very clear about where he is actually going. Obviously there are a lot of things going on. Perhaps this tweet yesterday summed it up: Leader of @USCCB shuts gate after horse has bolted https://t.co/eiZUVJK5oX — Mark (@sitsio) November 18, 2020 The US Bishops remain silent leading up to the election, rush to congratulate Biden be...

How They Wield Power

I was away last week at a gathering of prominent Catholics worried about what is going on in the Church. Part of the discussion was about the commonality of bad practise among bishops. This can be observed across the global Church but the specific discussion revolved around the dynamics in the UK and the USA. Since starting my blog I have noticed 1. They don't want us to know what's going on. 2. They do not feel accountable to us who fund their activities. 3. They absolutely have no regard for the Catholic faith whatsoever. The majority of us simply are unaware of what is going on and how bad it is. Blissfully unaware. Those of us who are publicly critical are sometimes criticised by good lay people and clergy who perhaps find it almost impossible to believe the pope, a bishop, a priest or religious could abuse the trust we put in them and mislead us with regard to the faith -- let alone money or sexual abuse. Either that or they prefer to maintain the status quo. ...

Curial Address - Pope Wants More Chaos!

Sandro Magister has some very interesting news from Rome . On the morning of Friday December 13, the fiftieth anniversary of the first Mass of Jorge Mario Bergoglio, the Pope said Mass in the Vatican chapel of Santa Marta with all the cardinals currently residing in Rome. Magister explains that this was the idea of Cardinal Angelo Sodano, in his capacity as dean of the college of cardinals. Apparently Francis had initially rejected the idea but Sodano had not given up, and thanks to a second effort by college sub-dean Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, he was finally able to convince the Pope to hold the Mass. Apparently Sodano mentioned the Pope's resistance in his letter of invitation to the cardinals. Sodano was widely considered to be one of the most corrupt elements in the Roman curia. He was THE McCarrick enabler hidden in plain sight. Apart from enabling McCarrick Sodano enabled and promoted every low life from Marcinkus and Maciel to the present crop of filth. Magist...
