New Bishop Appointed in Paisley
From The Diocese of Paisley Website : The Diocese of Paisley welcomes the appointment today (Saturday 8th February) by Pope Francis of Fr. John Keenan as the next Bishop of Paisley. We offer our congratulations to the Bishop-elect and promise our prayers for him during this time as we prepare to receive him as our Pastor. He will become fifth Bishop of Paisley at his episcopal consecration in St. Mirin's Cathedral, Paisley on the Solemnity of St. Joseph, Wednesday 19th March 2014. The Diocese of Paisley has been vacant since September 2012, when Bishop Philip Tartaglia became Archbishop of Glasgow. Fr David Boyd has been the Administrator of the Diocese in the interim.
